TANGOPOSTALE
Imagine a plane on a flight from Toulouse to Buenos Aires , carrying air mail, love-letters and so many secrets from people on both sides. On its return journey the plane brings us the passion for tango and that genuine urban culture from the Rio de la Plata to share.
TOULOUSE is pleased to announce the first journey of the TANGOPOSTALE from 1st-5th July 2009.
Immediate boarding for the river barge to take you to the opening of the festival. Meanwhile tango dancers will start with the first milonga on the banks of the Garonne River.
There will be five days of festivities in prospect: peña and milongas in the streets of the pink city of Toulouse, conferences and film showings, folklore workshops and classes where you will learn to really dance to the music, animated street events and indoor grand balls and concerts, without forgetting after hours dancing till dawn.
This year's festival will close with an invitation to join the crowd in a characera dance, a giant festive event, open to all.
Thanks to the active participation of the many associations which make up the Toulouse tango community, the FITT association (Festival International de Tango argentin de Toulouse) will take you on an unforgettable journey.
